Dr. Mirko Gilardino obtained his medical degree from McGill University's Faculty of Medicine, where he also completed a 5-year residency in plastic surgery. In addition, he obtained a Master's degree in Experimental Surgical Research before completing a year of fellowship training at the prestigious Ivy League University of Pennsylvania and the #1-ranked Hospital for Sick Children in Philadelphia in complex craniofacial surgery.

After his extensive training in the United States, Dr. Gilardino returned to Montreal where he specializes in adult aesthetic surgery and complex pediatric reconstructive surgery in the hospital system. He also founded Clinique Le 1620 in 2016, a private cosmetic surgery clinic in the heart of the city where he offers a personalized approach to his patients in a boutique environment.Dr. Gilardino is currently Chief of the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the McGill University Health Centre and Head of the H. B. Williams Craniofacial and Cleft Palate Surgery Unit at the Montreal Children's Hospital. Prior to his appointment as Division Head, he held the position of Director of the Residency Program for 8 years and is the only Full Professor in the Department of Plastic Surgery at McGill University, and one of only a handful in Canada. With a career spanning more than 15 years, he is today recognized for his many academic achievements, leadership roles, international reputation and numerous publications in the field of plastic surgery.Dr. Gilardino has more than ten thousand successful cosmetic procedures to his credit, and in what has become a highly competitive industry, he sets himself apart by continuing to offer natural, long-lasting and beautiful surgical results, as well as a top-notch experience to all his patients.
